I came here 20 years ago & it was Heaven. This evening I was so disappointed. Last time the food tasted like grandma made it. This time it tasted like a school lunchroom. The meatloaf had no flavor, but the gravy was good. The sides were tasty. The blueberry pie & fried chicken were the best items. The peanut butter pie was actually terrible. The only bright spot was our wonderful server Chris.

The staff are very friendly. Our server was very helpful and very attentive and came to our table with a smile and cheerful attitude. The muffins were delicious. The raspberry stuffed French toast was delicious. The gift shop had a lot of items to look at and choose from. It's a very family friendly atmosphere.

ONE & DONE WAY TOO EXPENSIVE FOR THE CHEAP QUALITY OF FOOD SERVED I must say I was excited to try Yoder's for lunch today. Unfortunately, the food was very disappointing. Honestly... it reminded me of, and was the same quality of, my elementary school lunches - rehydrated powdered mashed potatoes, odd gel-like gravy, frozen (that not fresh taste) corn, and tasteless / unseasoned fried chicken. $24 for the entree! $4 for Diet Coke. For dessert I had banana cream pie. The pie was pretty good and the crust was great! It was a huge piece and a good value at $7.95. My co-diners enjoyed fried chicken and chicken fried steak. Both were very disappointed in the taste and quality of their food. They ordered chocolate peanutbutter pie and strawberry pie and thought they were delicious. Our waitress was very kind and helpful. If we ever went back it would only be for the pie.

Yoder’s Restaurant never disappoints! The food was absolutely delicious, with generous portions and that comforting homemade quality that keeps people coming back. Every dish was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly prepared. Be sure to save room for dessert—the selection is incredible, and everything we tried was outstanding. The pies and baked goods alone are worth the visit! What really made the experience exceptional was the service. The staff was friendly, attentive, and made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. Great food, amazing desserts, and excellent service make Yoder’s a Sarasota favorite. Highly recommended!

If you're in Sarasota and want an honest home cooked meal this is the place. Fried Chicken, fantastic! Pot roast, so good. Best apple butter I've tried.Pie, need to try at least one. There is a reason this place is always on wait. And don't forget the gift shop
